Prof. A. P Rao is a practicing Chartered Accountant from Pune, India.  He is currently a professor at  Pune Institute of Business Management and he was ex-Professor at Sri Balaji University, Pune (for 24 years) and  also was at St. Vincent College of Commerce for the Master Programs (35 years). Formerly, he was Professor and Head-Finance at the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.

 He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India., New Delhi; he is also Fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India., Kolkata, he is also the Fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India., New Delhi. 

          He has gained considerable  industrial experience of over 25 years; having worked as Head-Finance, Kinetic Honda Motor Co. Ltd. for nearly 15 years overseeing the operations of finance, accounts, taxation, costing, internal audit and legal departments.

          He is also supported by academic experience of over 45 years. He also happens to be the Director of Academy of Corporate Training, Pune.  He has conducted several sessions on Finance Programs for the senior executives, business heads and leaders. His teachings have been highly appreciated both by the industrial fraternity and academic arena. He has been a visiting faculty for a number of management institutes for their MBA programs; including the Symbiosis management institutes, Sinhgad Management Institutes, Nevielle Wadia Institute of Management, Disha School of Management Studies, Raipur etc.

He has authored several books on Finance and accounting; Fundamentals of Financial Management, Cases and Problems on Financial Management, Management Accounting, Labour Cost and Compensation Management, Accounting for Managers, Cases and Problems on Financial Analysis and Control, etc.

   His unique ingredient of having considerable years of industrial experience coupled with academic excellence of teaching, along with fellowship of the three reputed professional bodies of India, has made him a versatile teacher and trainer in the corporate world.
